Captain Obvious – NFL Week 5

Capn’ here,

What can I say about week 5…oh here’s something, I have a math equation for you all:

Philadelphia Eagles = Dream Team. This theorem is incorrect. The Eagles are certainly not a dream, they’re barely a team.

Thank you.

That is all.

This Guy is the White Sox New Manager?

Breaking news out of Chicago. Nolan Ryan Robin Ventura has just been named the new manager of the Chicago White Sox. I know you remember this: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=12745349&topic_id=&c_id=mlb&tcid=vpp_copy_12745349&v=3

The question is really….what took so long. It’s obvious Ventura is a born leader.

Captain Obvious – NFL Week 4

Cap’n here,

Just thought I’d stop in and spruce up your day. Here goes…

Calvin Johnson is pretty good. Note to defensive coordinators around the league…Don’t let him catch the ball.

That is all.

See you next week.

NBC’S Playboy Club Cancelled: What Took So Long?

Hold on a moment while I pat myself on the back…(Thanks…sorry about the delay.) As was discussed earlier here: https://thanktink25.wordpress.com/2011/08/23/the-first-show-to-be-cancelled-this-season-is/

Anyone who saw a preview (or really just the premise) should have known this was DOA before the season began.  All of the Mad Men comparisons, the seriously…it’s a mystery…um…it’s empowering women thing…could not cover up the truth. It was a bad show.

My only question is this: What took so long? Now we get to watch Brian Williams talk about stuff. Boring…but still better than the Playboy Club. (Am I right?…yes I am)

Whitney Cummings has Two Shows on Network TV…For Now

I feel I need to ask the question: Who is Whitney Cummings? I only ask because she has not one but two shows currently on prime time network television.

A thorough update from the fact checking department (cough..wikipedia…cough) tells me that her notable work was in Punk’d and the Tony Rock Project. (Oh…wait…what?)

That doesn’t help me (fact checking department scaning…scaning…scaning). Does this help: Comedy Central Roasts for David Hasselhoff, Joan River and Donald Trump? No, what about the movie Made of Honor?

OK, I’m done. I can’t help you anymore.

Whitney is the star, producer and creator of Whitney currently airing Thursdays on NBC (for now…that show is totally getting cancelled.). She is also the co-creator and co-producer of 2 Broke Girls airing Mondays on CBS (for now…that show is probably getting cancelled…I like Kat Dennings…but will that be enough?)

I’m just asking a simple question (back off….I’m not being mean…I’m just saying these shows are probably getting cancelled…did you see them?)

I applaude Whitney in her efforts, again she has TWO NEW SHOWS ON NETWORK TELEVISION (sorry for yelling) I’m just wondering how this happened.

Captain Obvious – NFL Week 3

Captain Obvious here. What up Dog’s? (Trying out a new think…do you like it?)

I have been receiving a lot of praise on these recaps. Thank you so much. It’s not easy to get this in-depth coverage so I appreciate the kind words on all the attention and detail put forth.

With that being said (written…back off nerds!) Here are week three’s observations:

Did you that Ryan guy who plays quarterback for Buffalo went to Harvard?

Thank you.

That is all.
